'Tapes' is a series of live recordings during practice sessions spanning the course of 10 months. All tracks were improvised in real time and show the progression of our sound over time.
The recording process for this release was very transparent. Each recording was captured through a 4 track, and then mixed and run through a tape machine. Capturing audio this way does not leave much to be covered up by plugins and processing post recording. It's honest, real, and at times a little raw. Some of the ideas on this selection were revisited and later became components in some of our arrangements.
